A Letter From Our Director

To our loyal clientele…

Arboretum View Animal Hospital became a 24-hour specialty center in 2002 with the goals of providing excellence in care for companion animals, and becoming your provider of choice for specialty referral and emergency veterinary care in the greater Chicagoland area.

Fulfilling that promise has meant creating a full service, 24 hour hospital, including an emergency department, in addition to the general practice. It has also meant offering more specialty services, and attracting the board-certified specialists whose expertise ensures that the technology and treatments they wield produce the desired outcomes. This “21st Century” hospital model has brought a higher level of veterinary care to our community.

I am proud to say we have been successful in meeting our expectations, and that means meeting your expectations for us. Arboretum View Animal Hospital has raised the standard by which veterinary care in our area is measured. As you can appreciate, it takes an entire team effort to make sure we are true to our commitment to excellence. Our staff of emergency, specialty and general practice veterinarians includes some of the most dedicated, compassionate and talented people in our profession.

As always, that team is incomplete without you, our loyal referral veterinarians, and the discerning pet owners who place a high priority on the level of veterinary excellence their pets receive. Add a healthy measure of compassion and communication, and the resulting collaboration yields more positive outcomes.

But we have never rested in our quest to achieve excellence.

That is why, in January, 2008, we were excited to join the BrightHeart Veterinary Centers network of specialty and emergency hospitals. Now, referring veterinarians and owners have the unique opportunity to team with our specialists and other BrightHeart experts like, Dr. Philip J. Bergman, who helped pioneer the canine oral melanoma vaccine. Because when it comes to taking on the challenges of major, life-threatening or difficult health problems in pets, there simply is no room for anything less than excellence.

The vision and dedication of BrightHeart to advance the practice of specialty veterinary medicine help Arboretum View to grow and excel in providing more treatment options to patients. In addition, high-tech information/medical records systems, research/teaching opportunities, and training and educational innovations will ensure that we continue to be a key part of the best specialty/emergency hospital network available in North America.

We wish all of you and your pet family members’ good health and happiness.

Sincerely,

Alexis Newman, DVM
